Happy New Year to you all! It is great to be back at school following the winter break! I can't believe the school year is half over, but that still means we have a great half left. Within the first few weeks of the new semester, I will be passing out information regarding Jump Rope for Life. This year, JR4L will be done a little differently than it has been done in the past. Instead of it being after school for 3 straight days, we will be completing the JR4L event during our school day. On Friday, Feb. 26th, when your student comes to ancillary class that day, they will be outside participating in the JR4L event. With all of the help from the other ancillary teachers, we think this will be an easier way for students to be involved, and also not have to miss any of their extended day activities/classes. Parents are still more than welcome to come join in the fun and festivities on that day. If you have any questions regarding JR4L, please do not hesitate to ask me.
Also, to everyone participating in Marathon Kids; please get your Mileage Logs in to me AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Friday, January 22nd will be the deadline to turn in your logs. I will accept them NO LATER than Thursday, January 28th. The reason for this is so that I can get a correct count on how many shirts need to be ordered. Remember, just because you signed up for Marathon Kids does not mean you will get a shirt. You must have completed your mileage log and have it signed by a parent and turned in by the date noted above, in order to receive your shirt. If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you and I look forward to seeing all of you this week!
